FIBROBLASTING

OR PLASMA SKIN TIGHTENING

Natural Beauty

What IS FIBROBLASTING OR PLASMA SKIN TIGHTENING?

Fibroblasting is a non-surgical treatment used to achieve incredible skin tightening results.  Using a plasma device to generate tiny plasma energy arch to target specific area points in the skin. The skin is sublimated in the targeted areas creating little crusts or dots. If you remember from science class sublimation is the process of turning a solid into a gas. Therefore, fibroblasting can shrink, tighten and reduce the volume of excess skin without damaging any surrounding tissue. Results are seen immediately, even during treatment. The crusts that are formed from the plasma charge will fall off after about a week.  And the area will continue to tighten the area over the next 6 weeks after activating your firbroblast cells to produce more collagen and elastin cells that gives skin its youthful appearance.

WHAT IS PLASMA?

Plasma is the 4th state of matter (Solid, Liquid, Gas, Plasma). Plasma energy acts like a gas but can in this case forms an electrical arch that subliminates tiny areas of skin tissue, therefore tightening the entire area around wrinkles.

HOW DOES FIBROBLASTING WORK?

We apply a numbing cream to the area first to aid with any discomfort. With a special plasma pen device we generate a plasma charge that jumps from the tip of the device to the skin. The tip of the device never actually touches the skin making this treatment non invasive as compared to cosmetic surgeries.  The plasma arch forms a crust" on the skin that looks like a small dot. Each plasma crust contracts the skin around it creating and instant and significant tightening of the skin without damaging any surrounding tissue. This treatment also activates the fibroblasts cells of the dermis to create more collagen and elastin fibers thereby promoting plumping and tightening of the skin even further during the next 6 weeks after the treatment.

  • You will be given aftercare instructions after your treatment to follow for the next 6 weeks

HEALING AND DOWNTIME

The initial healing is 7-10 days for the crusts or dots to shed off on their own. You never want to pick at the crusts as this could cause scarring.  You are likely to experience some minor side effects in the first 5-10 days after treatment. which can include redness, itchiness, burning sensation, and sensitivity.  Some clients may also experience swelling in more sensitive areas of skin like eyelid treatments where the skin is thinner. By week 2 most of these side effects will dissipate as it heals.

During Healing

It is very important to avoid these activities during the healing process to achieve best results.

  • Absolutely no sun exposure for the4 first 10 days. Avoid sun for the 6 weeks of healing if possible. If you must be in the sun where a hat to cover the area and with sunscreen. The new skin that forms under the crust is brand new baby skin so you want to avoid scarring.

  • No tanning beds

  • No extreme physical activity or sweating for 7-10 days. If you must exercise wash area off as soon as possible after physical activity so perspiration does not sit on the skin.

  • No makeup on area for the first week. After week one light makeup can be applied if absolutely necessary, however it is not encouraged during the healing process.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT LAST?

Every clients skin is different. The effects are permanent however your skin will continue its natural aging process. You will see immediate results after the treatment which will continue to improve over the next 6 weeks. The results of your treatment can be affected by lifestyle factors like sun exposure, alcohol consumption, skin care routine, etc. Most clients can expect to maintain the same results for 2-3  years or longer before some may want to get future touch-ups.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?

Every case is different. Factors we consider are the depth of the wrinkles, your skin type, skin elasticity, etc. Usually one treatment is required to achieve desired results. But some may need 2 or 3 treatments to get to their desired result.

There are a few different types of wrinkles that this treatment is most effective for. Fibroblasting works best for wrinkles in the skin that have lost firmness or elasticity, sagging skin, or have a crepe appearance. It also works best on wrinkles that are apparent when the face is relaxed with no facial expressions.

FIBROBLASTING DOES NOT TREAT:

  • Dynamic wrinkles - (wrinkles that only show up when making a facial expression)

  • Cellulite

  • Fatty tissue wrinkles- (wrinkles that are caused by fatty deposits in the dermis)
