About Eyelash Extensions
Lash extensions are a great way to enhance your eyes. Here are the lash extension basics. A classic lash extension set means that one lash extension is applied to one natural lash, or basically a 1:1 ratio. Each natural lash is isolated by the skilled hands of the technician with special tools, and then then the lash extension is applied with a very, very small amount of medical grade adhesive to your natural lash. The lash extension never touches your skin. It is only placed near the base of your natural lash. Classics lash sets come in a variety of lengths, curls, and weights. During your initial full set appointment your lash artist discuss which options would be best for your particular eye shape. After lashes are applied they last on average 4-6 weeks depending on how you care for them and your lifestyle. Fill appointments are recommended every 2-3 weeks to maintain your full set.
What To Expect
For your appointment please arrive with fully clean lashes , no eye makeup, or under eye makeup. We will discuss your desired look during a quick consult, and then you will be able to lay down and listen relaxing music or take a nap while your lash extensions are applied. The whole process is quite relaxing. You must be able to keep your eyes closed for 2-3hrs while each extension is being applied to each eyelash. After your application you will have a brand new set of lashes! Your artist will go over your aftercare. Do not get your lashes wet for 24 hours after your appointment, so please plan accordingly if you need to.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do lash extensions damage my natural lashes? No, if they are applied correctly and safely by a certified professional they are completely safe. At Faceology Studio, Veronica is a licensed esthetician, certified lash artist, and certified Nano brow artist. I always follow the safest practices that keep lashes healthy and happy!
Why am I not supposed to get my lashes wet for 24 hours after they are applied? The adhesive will be dry when you are finished with your appointment, however it takes a full 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure and create a good bond with the natural lash.
How long do lash extensions last? Everyone's natural lash shedding cycle is a little different depending on your body and your lifestyle. The average person sheds 3-4 lashes everyday. Its a natural shedding process that the body does every 28-36 days. Every lash on your eye is in a different stage in its cycle. So when you shed a lash, the follicle will rest for a few days and then start growing a new lash and the cycle repeats itself. There are on average 100-120 lashes per eye! So most lash sets in general last 4-6 weeks. However, if you wish to keep your lash set you can maintain a full set with regular fills. Fill appointments are recommended every 2 to 3 weeks depending on fast your lashes grow and shed. Fill appointments take about 60 minutes or less.
What is the general care of my new set of lashes? To keep the best retention of your lashes it is important to keep them clean and brushed. We recommend to wash your lashes everyday with a mild oil-free soap. And brush your lashes every day with a clean spoolie brush that we provide to you. You will also want to avoid any oily products around your eyes. Oil breaks down the glue bond of your lashes. So for the best retention of your lashes avoid any oily makeup removers, oily concealers, or oily makeup, oily moisturizers around your eyes.
